The Mount Pearl Soccer Association (MPSA) Boys Under 13 team are the champions. The boys won the Newfoundland and Labrador Soccer Association NLSA Premier Youth League championship on Sunday August 25th. Games began in May, with all six teams playing a 15-game season. The MPSA team finished the regular season with an impressive 11W – 1L – 3T record, earning first place overall in the league and an automatic entry in the semi-final. They defeated Paradise 4-0 in the semi-final and Conception Bay South 3-0 in the championship game. The team will now compete in the Atlantic Championships in Conception Bay South set for Sept. 19-22.
