It’s surely a sign that spring can’t be that far off.
The council of the City of Mount Pearl voted unanimously last week to award a contract of $25, 287 (HST included) to Eastchem Inc. for regular turf maintenance around the City.
Deputy Mayor Jim Locke noted that Eastchem employs a ‘green approach’ and that no chemicals or pesticides will be used.
He also noted that last year’s contract was for $24,213, so this year’s spending is comparable to last year’s.
